Helton and Santa Claim MSC Baseball Player of the Week Honors

Bowling Green, Ky. – Pikeville’s (Ky.) Noah Helton and Bethel’s (Tenn.) Marco Santa have been named MSC Baseball Players of the Week, announced conference officials Monday.

MSC Baseball Player of the Week

Noah Helton – Pikeville (Ky.) – Gr.- OF – Somerset, Ky.

• Helton batted .467 across four games, hitting three home runs, a triple, and two doubles.
• The graduate student drove in nine runs for the Bears, and crushed a walk-off homer to give the Bears their first win of the season over Toccoa Falls.
• In the same game he went 3-5 at the plate with a homer and two RBIs, scoring three runs himself.
• This is his first career MSC weekly honor.

MSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Marco Santa – Bethel (Tenn.) – Sr. – RHP – Yabucoa, Puerto Rico

• Santa completed a no-hitter in the Wildcats’ 2-0 win over Cleary (Mich.)
• The senior went seven innings, throwing just 89 pitches.
• He walked just two batters and struck out 10.
• This is his first career MSC weekly award.
