The new GoPro action cameras are here. The company has announced the GoPro Hero 11 Black series cameras globally. The Hero 11 Black lineup includes three cameras — Hero 11 Black, Hero 11 Black Creator Edition and Hero 11 Black Mini. All three cameras come with a new larger sensor that supports 10-bit colour depth, and improved video stabilisation and also offers the widest field-of-view ever in GoPro Hero cameras.
GoPro says that the three versions of Hero 11 Black cameras are aimed at catering to different needs of users. The Hero 11 Black is aimed at professionals and enthusiasts, while the Creator Edition, the most expensive camera of the lineup is designed for all-in-one content capturing for bloggers, filmmakers and live streamers. The Hero 11 Black Mini is a compact, lighter and simpler version of Hero 11 Black and is designed for people who want a smaller camera without sacrificing performance.
GoPro Hero 11 Black: Price and availability
GoPro Hero 11 Black will launch globally today. The Hero 11 Black is now available for purchase in India starting today at Rs 51,500. The GoPro Hero 11 Black Creator Edition will go on sale in mid-October at Rs 71,500 and the Hero 11 Black mini will be priced at Rs 41,500 and it will be available for purchase in November.
The entire Hero 11 Black lineup will be available for purchase via the company’s offline and online retail partners including Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales.
GoPro Hero 11 Black: Features
The GoPro Hero 11 Black lineup features a new larger sensor that’s capable of capturing 10-bit Colour and the widest field-of-view ever in the Hero camera lineup. The new 1/1.9-inch sensor also enables these cameras to record up to 5.3K resolution videos at 60 fps. The cameras can also capture 27-megapixel photos.
Hero 11 Black’s new larger sensor also enables 8:7 aspect ratio video for the largest vertical field of view ever on a GoPro. This also means users can now capture more of a scene vertically with the ability to crop for different aspect ratios in the GoPro Quik app and create 9:16 vertical shots for Instagram and TikTok, plus high-resolution 16:9 cinematic shots ideal for YouTube or the big screen.
The new sensor also enables HyperView, the widest 16:9 field of view ever native to a Hero camera suitable for filming first-person views of themselves biking, skiing, surfing, motorcycling and similar activities.
Additionally, the Hero 11 Black series comes with HyperSmooth 5.0 technology with an in-camera 360-degree Horizon Lock to keep the footage steady even when the camera rotates during capture.
The Hero 11 Black cameras also support the signature SuperView at 5.3K60fps and 4K 120fps.
Other features include three new Night Effect Time Lapse — Star Trails, Light Painting and Vehicle Light Trails, TimeWrap 3.0 and Pro mode and more.
The Hero 11 Black also comes with a new Enduro battery, which according to the company offers 38% better battery life.
