Google starts rolling out Single note widget for Keep – Times of India
Earlier this month, Google posted a new blog post announcing several new features coming to Android and Wear OS devices. The company has finally started rolling out the Single note widget for the Keep.
The new Google Keep widget is available with version 5.23.083.02.90 and the updated version is now available to download via Google Play Store. But, do note that this is a server-side update and may not be visible as soon as you download and install the update.
Google Keep Single note widget: Details
The new Single note widget allows users to pin a single note or list on the home screen along with images. The Single note widget also has the option to scroll to view more content right on the home screen. In addition, users can also mark checklist items as complete from the new Single note widget.
The new Keep widget also has a FAB at the bottom right corner. This allows users to resize the widget as per the requirement.
In terms of design and theme, the widget adapts to the colour the user has set, but the preset backgrounds Keep offers aren’t available for the widget. Also, the widget carries the Material You design language and matches Google Tasks List widget.
Meanwhile, Google announced other new features for Android and Wear OS. This includes Fast Pair for Chrome OS, new emoji combinations for Gboard, updated tap and pay animation, 300% zoom for page content, controls, text, images and more.
