Google shows off Pixel Fold early in an NBA ad – Times of India

0

Google’s first foldable is incoming, and it is no secret anymore. Days before the I/O, Google showed off the Pixel Fold in its full glory in a teaser video, giving us a 360-degree outlook of its upcoming foldable smartphone. Now, just a few hours before the I/O, the Pixel Fold is again shown off in an advertisement featuring NBA stars.
While the ad was expected to be released tomorrow, the tweet by the official Google Pixel account includes a link to the unlisted video of the ad. “Google Pixel x NBA: The Greatest Watch Party,” which is 2 minutes and 37 seconds long and showcases the Pixel Fold in action.

We see the Pixel Fold when closed. Then there is a shot showing the hinge in action again — the foldable can be opened at a 90-degree angle, and voice commands allow users to take a selfie.
There is also a shot of the internal display when the NBA player Giannis Antetokounmpo is on a Google Meet call and switches from the outer display to the inner one.

We also see the camera feed seamlessly switching between the internal and external displays. The viewfinder appears on the outer display when using the primary rear camera to take a selfie.
There are lots of shots of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Then, there is Pixel 7a in the Coral colour, making an appearance in the video.
The advertisement does not give away the specifications, though much of the information is out in the wild.
If rumours are to be believed, the Pixel Fold will have a 5.8-inch OLED on the outside and a 7.6-inch on the inside. The rumours have it that the Pixel Fold has a teardrop hinge, which results in much less crease than what we have seen on Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold.
We should learn more about the Pixel Fold later today at the I/O, which begins at 10:30 PM IST.
