Google Pixel Tablet coming soon in 2023, with new features, specs, colours leaked | Digit

Google Pixel C was the last tablet reveal that took place in 2015 where Google collaborated with Android to launch a tablet. After that Google bid adieu to the tablet industry.

But after almost 7 years in 2022, Google announced its upcoming Pixel tablet which is supposed  to come under limelight in 2023. The tablet’s existence was announced at Google I/O on May 11, 2022. 

After creating a hype about the tablet, there wasn’t any news for a very long time. But there has been a recent leak which suggests certain specifications, colours, new features and more about the tablet. 

Not to forget, the Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a have been in talks for a while now, you should definitely check out their specifications now. 

Colour variants of the Google Pixel Tablet 

The rumours say that the Google Pixel Tablet will have four colour variants. But, as of now the colour hasn’t been confirmed. Two colours already existed in the previous tablets: Green and Beige, and they will remain in the market for the new tab as well. 

New feature of the Google Pixel Tablet

It has been inferred from the leaks that there will be a physical switch on the tab which will allow them to disable the tablet’s camera and microphone. This will help everyone with the privacy concerns they have regarding any device they use.

Google Pixel tablet to come with a Charging Speaker Dock

The leaks reveal that the tablet will be powered by a Tansor G2 SoC and will be paired with 8GB RAM. The tab is also supposed to have two variants based on its storage but there are no specific details about it yet. 

Also, the tablet will come with a Charging Speaker Dock, but it’s not clear if that’s the only Dock option that is available. The dock’s function would not be charging only but will also help to convert into a smart display. The charging dock includes a self charger with a barrel jack so no USB adapter is required. So, the tablet may have two variants- one with the charging dock and one without it. 

About the material of the tablet, there is confirmation from Google that the entire tablet is of 100% recycled aluminium and will feature a nano-ceramic coating. This will make the table feel sturdy but smooth and elegant. Also recently Google released the first beta version of Android 14 for Pixel users. So now that’s something to be taken under consideration as well. 

As of now, it’s not yet confirmed as to when the new Google Pixel Tablet will be coming to the market, but it can be expected to be something after the Google I/O 2023. Everything that’s been stated is from a leak so there are chances in alteration of any of the aforementioned features or specifications.
