Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro set to go on pre-orders in India on October 6 via Flipkart – Times of India
Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will go on pre-orders in India from October 6 on Flipkart. The company has already revealed key information about the smartphones over a few weeks. Both the latest Pixel flagships will come with Samsung-made Google Tensor G2 SoC. Google will launch the smartphones along with the Google Pixel Watch and a couple of Nest devices globally on October 6.
The announcement about pre-booking of the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro was made via Twitter, however, Google is yet to share information about the first sale date. Those interested can pre-book their preferred model starting at 9.30 pm, which is probably when Google’s ‘Made by Google’ event – scheduled to take place at 10 am ET (7.30 pm IST) – will conclude.
Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro Price (expected)
Thanks to various leaks and Google, there has been ample information available about the handsets. Reports suggest that the Google Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro will get the Pixel 6 series-like pricing. So we’ll probably see the Pixel 7 price starting at $599 (approximately Rs. 50,000) and the Pixel 7 Pro with a starting price tag of $899 (approximately Rs. 75,000). Google is expected to start shipping these devices on October 18.
Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro features, specifications
The Pixel 7 will come in Lemongrass, Obsidian, and Snow colour options. The larger Pixel 7 Pro will get Hazel, Obsidian, and Snow. We have already mentioned that both smartphones will get Tensor G2 SoC which, Google says, will offer “even more helpful, personalised features to photos, videos, security and speech recognition.”
We also know that the Pixel 7 will sport a dual rear camera setup and the Pixel 7 Pro will get three cameras on the back. Both phones will also get the Titan M security chip.
The Pixel 7 series of smartphones are the first flagships that are making their debut in India since the Pixel 3 series. Google, however, has launched the toned-down versions of their Pixel 4 and Pixel 6 series – the Pixel 4a and Pixel 6a respectively – in recent years.
