Google Pixel 6 Pro is facing display flickering issue, fix coming in December – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Google launched its latest flagship smartphone — Pixel 6 Pro last month. The smartphone sports a QHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate. Now, some of the users have started facing a flickering issue with the display of the smartphone after the phone is powered off.
Google has now acknowledged the screen flickering issue and has also announced a software fix. The company has said that it will roll out the fix for the issue with the December software update. Some of the Pixel 6 Pro users also said that holding the power button partly while the phone is switched off is causing some horizontal light strips to appear all over the 6.7-inch screen.
Google has addressed the “Pixel 6 Pro display residual light” issue as well and has responded on its Help community saying, “Pixel 6 Pro users may notice slight, transient display artifacts when the device is turned off, and when they press on the power button with slight pressure but not enough to turn it on.” The company has also clarified that it is not a hardware issue.
