Google is ready with a new desktop UI for Stadia, as per a report by 9To5Google based on confirmation by an official Stadia community manager. The new desktop UI aims to make the user experience on the desktop platform simpler. It also adds sections containing various details on the game for a quick perusal.
The new user interface will have a card-style layout and ‘Resume playing’ buttons for recently played titles so that it can get easier for players to join in the gaming fun.
Google Stadia’s new desktop UI is “slowly rolling out to everyone”, as per Google and should be available to all the Stadia users “soon”.
The new UI will have a large ‘Game On’ banner through which you can continue your journey in a title or discover new games and teammates. Some of the titles in your Stadia account may prompt you to play online in public open parties with options to quickly join them. Free or promoted games may also appear in this list.
The “Your library” tab, however, has not been replaced and can still be found under the revamped section. Google has also added a ‘Get to know Stadia’ section on Stadia Home which lists various details. You will be able to see it under your in-game captures, recordings and game states. After this new desktop UI, Google may also go for a new Android TV version of the UI but there is no announcement regarding that as of now.
