0
YouTube is the most popular platform when it comes to watching videos. Yet, there are those pesky ads that keep popping up more often than not when you are watching videos. Google has a Premium subscription service where users get an ad-free experience but you have to pay for it. On the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day, Google is offering three months of YouTube Premium to users. Here are all the details:
Who is eligible for the Independence Day offer?
Google has made it clear that the offer is applicable only to new users. So if you are an existing user, then you cannot avail of the offer.

What is the last date of availing of the offer?

New users can avail of the offer till August 31.

What are the benefits of the Independence Day offer?
Users will get all the benefits of YouTube Premium, which include downloading videos, an ad-free viewing experience, videos that will play even when the screen is locked, and YouTube Music without any ads.
How to avail the Independence Day offer?
The process is rather simple. When you register on YouTube as a new user, after filling in your Google ID and password, a pop-up will appear asking you whether you want to avail of the Independence Day offer. You will have the option to either go for the offer or say no to it.
What happens after three months are over?
With YouTube Premium, when your free trial — or offer in this case — ends, then you’ll be automatically charged the price listed unless you cancel during your trial, and then every month starting on the first billing date until you cancel your subscription.
How much do YouTube Premium subscriptions cost?
Google has various prepaid and subscription plans for users in India. The plans start at Rs 129 per month — or Rs 79 for students — for individuals. Family plans start at Rs 189 per month and there’s an annual subscription plan which costs Rs 1,290.
