Google has released the fix for camera bug in Chrome OS – Times of India

Google has confirmed that they have released the fix for the camera bug that some users started reporting about the recent Chrome OS update.

Google recently rolled out an update for Chrome OS which brings several new features and bug fixes to the devices running the operating system. However, several users started reporting that the update broke the camera of the Chromebooks.

A report by About Chromebooks revealed that Chromebooks users are complaining that the latest Chrome OS update has broken the camera for some users.

People have reported that their Chromebook device camera stopped working about the latest Chrome OS update. A user reported that the camera ‘simply does not work’. Other users reported that the camera is working however, it can not focus properly.

Those unaware, the bug was a part of different versions of Chrome OS, including Chrome OS 97 version.

According to the report, here are some of the devices that are getting affected by the camera bug:

Acer Chromebook 14

HP Chromebook x2 11

Lenovo Duet 5 Chromebook 5

Lenovo 10e Chromebook

Google Pixelbook Go

Acer Chromebook Spin 13

Soon after releasing the update, Google confirmed on its official support page that it has released the fix for the bug that’s breaking the camera.
