Google I/O 2022 is ready to kick off in some time. The tech giant’s annual event for developers will be held virtually this year. The two-day event starts today May 11 and will run through May12. Google I/O 2022 keynote is scheduled to start at 10 am PDT (10:30 pm IST) and will be live-streamed on YouTube and Google’s I/O website. The developer keynote is scheduled to begin at 12 pm PDT (12 am IST on May 12). Google-parent Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai is likely to give the keynote at the event. What to expect from Google I/O 2022?
The Google I/O 2022 event will be held virtually. This is the third Google I/O to be held virtually since 2020. The event will be livestreamed from Shoreline Amphitheater in California, US. Google I/O is the company’s platform to showcase its latest and upcoming technologies and innovations that will be available for developers to use in new apps, its operating systems and other products. The I/O keynote for this year is likely to outline new developments in platforms like — Android, Firebase, WearOS, Android Auto and more. There are also speculations that the company may unveil new hardware at the event.
What is confirmed is that Google will reveal more details about the upcoming Android 13 OS and the new updates that will come to the Wear OS. The company may also introduce Google Pixel 6a and the Pixel Watch at the event.
Users who want to attend other sessions that will take place over the two-day event will have to visit the official website of the event: to register.
