Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently said that the company’s aim is to get its generative AI chatbot Bard right. He added that those testing Bard “will see progress over the course of next week” in terms of maths and reasoning. The company has now launched an Experiment updates page to apprise people about the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes for the Bard experiment.
Google has also released the first batch of updated capabilities for “better capabilities for math and logic.”

The Google Bard Experiment updates page will get updates on the “latest features, improvements, and bug fixes for the Bard experiment.” the company said that this will make it easier for “people to see the latest Bard updates for them to test and provide feedback.”

What’s new in Google Bard
Google provided a “Google it” button to testers so that people can recheck and confirm whether the feedback provided by the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot is factually correct. In the latest update, when users click the “Google it” button, they will get additional suggested Search topics.

According to Google, this button will help people explore a broader range of interests with more related topics.
Additionally, Bard’s capabilities have been updated for math and logic. Google said that Bard doesn’t always get it right on math and logic prompts, and it is “working toward higher-quality responses in these areas.”

‘Getting Bard right is important’
Recently, Pichai responded to the criticism for being ‘late’ to launch an AI-powered chatbot. He said that the company has more capable language models and “getting it [Bard] right is important” for Google.
“Getting that user feedback cycle and being able to improve your models, build a trust and safety layer turns out to be an important thing to do. Since this was the first time we were putting out, we wanted to see what type of queries we would get. We obviously positioned it carefully,” he said.
