Google Chrome 108 update: What’s new
Energy saver mode
Chrome is a resource and power-hungry browser and it seems Google has finally addressed it by adding a dedicated Energy saver mode to the web browser. The Energy saver mode is hidden under the flag and users need to enable it manually. Also, users can choose to enable Energy saver mode once the laptop is off charge or when the battery level drops below 20%.
To enable Energy saver: chrome://flags/#battery-saver-mode-available and enable it.
Better emojis
Google added COLRv1 colour gradient vector font with Chrome 98 update. Improvising on that, Google Chrome 108 brings the ability to detect whether a website supports COLRv1 or not. This will allow the browser to show sharp and better emojis.
Virtual keyboard resizing
Chrome 108 update also brings the ability to resize the virtual keyboard on Android and iOS.
Other improvements and bug fixes
Like every other Chrome update, version 108 also brings several other improvements including stability, bug fixes, security patches and more.
Steps to download Google Chrome 108 update

It will automatically start looking for the latest version of Chrome available. Once the update process is finished, it will ask you to relaunch the browser.
