Google Bard Rolls Out in Europe in 40+ Languages & Gains New Abilities
ChatGPT has become a benchmark for AI chatbots and there’s no doubt others want a piece of share too. Google unveiled Google Bard in February this year as an experimental conversational AI service. Powered by LaMDA, the AI has gained immense abilities and has rolled out across different cities in Europe and Brazil among others. Here’s the latest updates coming our way when it comes to Bard.
Google Bard AI is now available in Europe
Google’s massively popular AI chatbot Bard was launched as a seemingly superior version of ChatGPT from OpenAI. However, Bard has matured and the tech giant has added quite a few features up its sleeves. For the unversed, ChatGPT is trained on old data whereas Bard picks up the latest information available to satisfy user’s queries.
As per July Update, Google Bard is now available across Europe and Brazil too. The rollout was delayed due to privacy concerns raised by the Irish Data Protection Commission. Bard is now available in 230+ countries and territories worldwide. Moreover, you can use Google Bard in 40+ languages which is HUGE. Some of the languages that the company listed are Spanish, Hindi, German, Arabic, Chinese, etc.
Google Bard Is Learning To Talk
Talking about the conversational style, Bard can now respond in five different styles i.e. simple, long, short, casual, and professional. Although available in English only at the moment, these styles will be available in other languages soon.
Another update has to do with images. Bard now has abilities to analyze uploaded on it thanks to Google Lens. The AI will analyze these images and provide information based on the context or as the user asks. Users can even generate captions for the uploaded images to upload on social media and beyond.
Next up, we have the feature wherein Bard will be able to use audio to read responses. It will enable users to listen to the responses helping them correct pronunciation and works in 40+ languages.
