Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 1.10%, while the index climbed 0.61%, and the index gained 1.61%.
The best performers of the session on the were Adidas AG (DE:), which rose 4.30% or 10.50 points to trade at 254.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (DE:) added 3.81% or 2.88 points to end at 78.42 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) was up 3.19% or 15.800 points to 510.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delivery Hero AG (DE:), which fell 12.43% or 12.21 points to trade at 85.99 at the close. Daimler AG NA O.N. (DE:) declined 0.70% or 0.510 points to end at 72.540 and Continental AG O.N. (DE:) was down 0.59% or 0.57 points to 95.58.
The top performers on the MDAX were Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (DE:) which rose 4.35% to 51.860, Aixtron SE (DE:) which was up 4.34% to settle at 19.370 and Evotec AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 3.36% to close at 38.150.
The worst performers were Commerzbank AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 4.12% to 7.380 in late trade, GEA Group AG (DE:) which lost 1.81% to settle at 43.890 and Deutsche Wohnen AG (DE:) which was down 0.79% to 36.260 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (DE:) which rose 4.34% to 19.370, Nordex SE O.N. (DE:) which was up 4.29% to settle at 14.100 and Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 4.04% to close at 85.000.
The worst performers were 11 AG (DE:) which was down 0.66% to 23.960 in late trade, Freenet AG NA (DE:) which lost 0.34% to settle at 23.420 and Varta AG (DE:) which was down 0.23% to 109.150 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 505 to 194 and 79 ended unchanged.
Shares in Deutsche Wohnen AG (DE:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.79% or 0.290 to 36.260.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.54% to 18.15.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.05% or 18.95 to $1817.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 3.91% or 3.06 to hit $81.29 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 3.49% or 2.82 to trade at $83.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.28% to 1.1356, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8342.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 95.720.
