Samsung’s Galaxy M22, launched in 2021, is now getting the Android 12 with the OneUI 4.1 update. The Galaxy M22 comes with Android 11 out-of-the-box. The update also brings the April 2022 security patch for the Galaxy M22. The software update carries the firmware number M225FVXXU4BFD8 and is currently rolling out to users in UAE and Saudi Arabia.
As per a report from SamMobile, the update with firmware version M225FVXXU4BFD8 is rolling out for Galaxy M22 units having model number SM-M225FV in UAE and Saudi Arabia. The update is said to be rolling out in a phased manner, so Galaxy M22 users in other countries can expect the OneUI 4.1 update on their Galaxy M22 soon.
One thing to note is that the Galaxy M22 is a low-end smartphone meaning it runs a stripped-down version of OneUI dubbed OneUI Core, which misses out on some of the features of Android and Samsung’s Android skin. The Galaxy M22 was released with OneUI Core 3.1, and now the OneUI 4.1 might also miss out on some of the new features. However, Galaxy M22 users will be able to experience the new system UI and the updated app interfaces with the Android 12 update.
Galaxy M22 users in UAE and Saudi Arabia can check for the updates by heading to the Settings app on their smartphones. And then checking for any new updates from the Software Update.
