Samsung launched the Galaxy A14 5G smartphone in India earlier this month. The device also made its debut in the US and other markets. As per a report by Sammobile, the smartphone has started receiving the first security update. The update for the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G comes with firmware version A146BXXU1AWA2 which brings along the January 2023 security patch that fixes approximately dozens of security vulnerabilities, including those in Samsung Knox and Secure Folder. Additionally, the update may also include general bug fixes, improvement in performance and additional optimisations.
How to download the software update on Samsung Galaxy A14 5G:

  1. Open the Settings app on the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G phone.
  2. Scroll down and tap Software update.
  3. Tap Download and Install.
  4. The phone will install the update and restart the phone.

The Galaxy A14 5G features a 6.6-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone has a polycarbonate back with a laser pattern and a flat linear camera housing. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Galaxy A14 5G comes in three colours – Silver, Orange, and Light Blue.
The Galaxy A14 5G comes with an Exynos 1330 octa-core processor under the hood paired with up to 128GB of internal storage and 4GB/ 6GB/8GB of RAM. The Galaxy A14 5G runs Android 13-based OneUI Core 5, with promised 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates. The smartphone boasts a 5000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. However, the box does not include a charger.
The Galaxy A14 5G comes with a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, and a pair of 2MP macro and depth sensors. On the front, the smartphone features a 13MP camera for selfies.
