Waiting for the next season of one’s favourite series has never been easy, especially if it is a globally known and loved series like Money Heist. As the last season of the celebrated Spanish series, La Casa de Papel, premiers today, it will tease the fans for another three months, for the Part 2 of Season 5 will be released on December 3.

Celebs talk about the big wait, characters they are rooting for in this beginning of the end (Season 5 Part 1) and their preferred binge-watch companion and language since the series is available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Hope for all: Geeta Basra

The fourth season was so gripping and exciting that I wanted to watch the next immediately. It is one series that I have enjoyed immensely. As much as we are excited for it to uncover the story, it’s a scary that it’s nearing towards its end. I will be rooting for Professor as he is the most amazing character. It’s because of him that others were successful in their previous heist. I will be watching it alone since my husband will not be around and we all have waited far too long for the season finale.

The sad end: Sharad Malhotra

I am a big fan of the franchise. Through the four seasons, we have witnessed two heists – Royal Mint of Spain and Bank of Spain. At the end of the fourth season, I was sad because of Nairobi’s death. Definitely my favourite character is Professor and I would want him to bring everyone out of danger that they were in earlier. His character is sophisticated and nerdy. I will watch it the English version as that’s my language. Eagerly waiting for the season to unfold.

I want more: Ruhi Singh

When they completed Season 4, the first thought that came to my mind was ‘I want more’. I wanted to know how this story would end. Now, that the time has arrived, I really hope that Professor survives. I like the complexity of his character. He is shown as soft and considerate as well as hard and on point. My mother is in town for a few days. I will watch the show with her. She has watched the other seasons and is looking forward to this one. I am going to be binge watching this. It would be hard to wait for December 3 again, then the favourite fan anthem would be, ‘December, September mein kyun nahi aata yaar.’

The highest of high: Harjinder Singh

I was eagerly waiting for Season 5. I will watch it for Tokyo who I find to be the most fierce and vulnerable character of the series. You never know what she will do and when. She is unpredictable. The expectations are way too high and as the Netflix’s Money Heist Fan Anthem predicted, we all believe it will end on ‘the highest of high’. I will be watching it alone as I am shooting. It was just last year that I watched this series on a friend’s suggestion. Then I watched it with my wife and it took me a week to finish all the available seasons but I don’t think I would be waiting for my shooting schedule to finish to watch it with my wife.

For the finale: Shefali Jariwala

The first thing that came to my mind when I watched the fourth season was that the season finale would be interesting with all the twists and turns and I couldn’t wait for them to release it soon. I really hope the main lead, Professor, lives. He is my favourite character. I love the way they have written his character. He is someone you would want to root for, although you know what he is doing is not right, but they have made the show in such a way that you want the bad guy to win. I will be watching the series with my husband Parag. We usually try to watch the episodes together at night when both of us are free.
