Nothing Phone (1) video
The video reveals the transparent and boxy design of the smartphone. It also talks about the notification LED lights placed in the rear panel.
Nothing Phone (1) design
The transparent design of the Nothing Phone (1) is inspired by the company’s philosophy of bringing something different on the table. The rear panel houses the dual-camera setup and the Nothing branding on the bottom left part. You can see all the nuts and curved circuits in the design.
How the LEDs on the Nothing Phone (1) work?
One of the main highlights of the upcoming Nothing Phone (1) is its notification LEDs placed on the rear panel. The company claims that it has used over 900 LEDs to achieve the design of the back panel. The company has named the LED design the Glyph Interface and users can customise and manage these LEDs by going to the settings menu of the smartphone.
Firstly, the primary use of the LEDs on the rear panel of the Nothing Phone (1) is to inform the users about notifications. The LEDs light up every time you receive a notification.
Secondly, the LED placed on the wireless charging coil lights up when you are charging a device wirelessly. The LED also illuminates when you reverse charging any device wirelessly using the Nothing Phone (1).
Other than this, the company has also incorporated an LED light at the bottom which lights up when you charge the smartphone using a wired charger.
On the other hand, the Glyph Interface lights up completely whenever you are clicking a photo. The smartphone also comes with 10 pre-installed ringtones and you can customise each ringtone with the LED pattern.
