Farhan Akhtar scouts for locations in Rajasthan for Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt’s Jee Le Zaraa

Filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar has shared a picture of himself as he started scouting for locations in Rajasthan for his upcoming film Jee Le Zaraa. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Farhan posted a photo in which he stood in a desert. The picture, which was clicked from afar, showed Farhan looking at a distance with his back to the camera. In the photo, Farhan wore a jacket, shorts, and boots. Jee Le Zaraa will feature actors Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt in lead roles. Sharing the new picture, Farhan captioned the post, “Searching for gold.” He also added the hashtags–location scout, Jee Le Zaraa, and Rajasthan. Farhan also wrote, “Image @ozajay.”

Reacting to the post, Alia Bhatt commented, “Can’t waittttt (heart hands emoji).” Ritesh Sidhwani said, “And he is back on the director’s chair (hands rais ed emoji).” Several fans also shared their excitement in the comments section.

A person wrote, “Finally, I can’t wait for this film.” A comment read, “So excited.” “Please sign Hrithik Roshan as PeeCee’s pair,” said an Instagram user. “Yeah!!! This is going to be lit,” said another fan. Many of them also posted red heart and fire emojis.

In 2021, Farhan had shared a motion poster of the film on Instagram. He wrote, “Did someone say road trip? Thrilled to announce my next film as director and what better day than 20 years of Dil Chahta Hai to do it. #JeeLeZaraa with @priyankachopra @katrinakaif @aliaabhatt will commence filming in 2022 and I cannot wait to get this show on the road.”

Priyanka had shared a picture featuring herself, Alia, and Katrina Kaif on Instagram. A part of her caption read, “Let’s rewind, to me musing about wanting to do another Hindi movie ASAP, on an unusually rainy night in Mumbai in Nov 2019. But it had to be the right one – different, cool, never been done before… I thought.”

She added, “The idea grew into a movie helmed by an all-female cast. There are not enough Hindi movies that are female multi-starrers. This led to an impulsive phone call… to my 2 real friends about this idea that involved 3 on-screen girlfriends. A celebration of friendship we called it!!”

Jee Le Zaraa marks Farhan’s directorial comeback after over a decade. The filmmaker last directed Shah Rukh Khan’s Don 2. His latest directorial is written by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti along with Farhan. It is produced by Reema, Zoya, Ritesh Sidhwani, and Farhan.
