Nelisiwe Shiluvana is the new group financial director of JSE-listed branded food services company Famous Brands and will assume the position on 1 January 2023, the group announced on Thursday.
Shiluvana will be taking over from Deon Fredericks who was appointed to the position in July 2021 on a two-year fixed term contract. According to Famous Brands, Fredericks is set to retire at the end of July 2023.

“In line with our succession planning programme, Ms Nelisiwe Shiluvana, current Group Finance Executive, will assume the role of Group Financial Director – designate, with effect from 1 January 2023,” the company said in a short announcement.
“Shareholders will be informed of further developments at the appropriate time. The Board welcomes Nelisiwe in her new role and looks forward to her contribution.”
Famous Brands owns well-known quick service and casual dining brands like Steers, Debonairs Pizza, Fishaways, Wimpy and Mugg & Bean.
