Facebook exec Ella Kirby joins TikTok as Head of Music Publishing Licensing & Partnerships, EMEA – Music Business Worldwide

TikTok has hired Ella Kirby as Head of Music Publishing Licensing & Partnerships, EMEA, according to a LinkedIn post published by Kirby.

The exec joins the ByteDance-owned video platform following over three-and-half years as Facebook‘s Music Publishing Business Development Lead (EMEA).

Prior to Facebook, Kirby was Head of Digital Video (Strategy & Partnerships) at Ice Services.

The exec also previously worked as a Digital Video Specialist, Pan European Licensing at British collection society PRS for Music.

Before joining PRS for Music in January 2015, Kirby was an International Business Development & Business Affairs Manager at music video platform, VEVO rom November 2011 to June 2015.

Kirby also worked at Sony Music, first as a Long Form Video Manager, Global Digital Business Development from December 2008 to February 2011 and later as a Video Assets Specialist, UK Business Development.
