The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G launch event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 29th in India. Now, ahead of the official unveiling, the smartphone’s offline price has been shared with 91mobiles by domestic retailers. According to an official communication by Samsung shared with us, the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G price in India will start at Rs 20,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. This is pretty much along expected lines. The higher specced 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option of the smartphone will cost Rs 22,999.

To be clear, these are offline prices and the online prices may be slightly slower. Samsung Galaxy F42 5G will be sold online via Flipkart and Samsung.com.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G specifications

Both Samsung.com and Flipkart have dedicated microsites for the upcoming smartphone, revealing key features and design. These include specifications like a 90Hz display with FHD+ resolution, 64MP triple rear cameras, and 5,000mAh battery. Along with these, Samsung’s new staple for 5G phones, i.e. support for 12 5G bands, will also be present on the upcoming smartphone. The design elements revealed by the official images include the Infinity-V notch, triple cameras in a square-ish module, and back panel with ridge design. The official images show the smartphone in black as well as black colour options.

While some of the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G specifications have been revealed officially, not all details are known at the moment. According to leaks, the smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and run the Android 11-based One UI skin. An 8MP selfie camera, 15W charging, and dual-band Wi-Fi are also said to be part of the package. Lastly, accompanying the 64MP primary camera reportedly will be a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP portrait lens.
