Eisha Singh: Playing lead gives you a high but brings along pressure
Actor Eisha Singh feels it’s important to constantly reinvent oneself as an actor, else industry tends to leave you behind.
“I have been constantly on a go and I don’t want to slow down as this is the right time to make the most of the opportunities available. I consider myself really lucky to get content driven roles that too in times when other actors are on lookout for strong stories but sadly they are far and few,” says the Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani-2 and Ishq Subhan Allah actor.
Singh adds that playing lead is surely an added pressure for any actor. “It is an added responsibility because you are the face of the show and audiences follow you. I love playing protagonist as it gives you a special high as a performer but surely pressure bhi hota hai. That’s where you need to maintain sanity of mind without taking too much stress. And this has been my focus for quite some time now. I don’t let work pressure hit me or lose balance in life.”
The Middle Class Love actor is glad to have got an opportunity to try an unexplored genre of late.
“Which actor doesn’t want to experiment and try new genres. I have been part of social dramas and some were based on social issues like widow-remarriage, triple-talaq and so on. These shows do get draining at times but it surely works for me in terms of setting a bar and giving my career the right boost. After all these shows, I needed to explore fantasy genre as I am big fan of Bollywood fantasy series. I got chance to play lead in Bekaboo and trust me doing a fantasy series is like reliving my childhood days. It feels as if I am getting to live in a wonderland,” concludes the actor.
