Echo Dot prices are about to increase again, so you need to act fast

Want to upgrade your Alexa experience? There’s never been a better time to switch to the latest model of the Echo Dot, with Amazon slashing the price tag to the lowest since Black Friday.

If you missed out during the Black Friday sales, now is the ideal moment to upgrade your Amazon Echo. But you’ll need to act fast as the price tag of this clever AI-powered speaker is set to rise again at any moment.

For those who don’t know, the fifth-generation Echo Dot arrives with a dramatically improved speaker system, a temperature sensor to automate your smart home, and uses recycled materials as part of its design to reduce its impact on the planet.

Chatty AI assistant Alexa, who provides the brains inside the Echo Dot, is able to take requests for songs, tune in to radio stations, tell you the latest headlines and forecast, check train times, set timers and reminders, organise your digital calendar, make calls, and much more. Alexa works with popular services like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music Unlimited.

It’s also available in new colours, including Deep Sea Blue, Glacier White, and Charcoal.

Usually £54.99, right now you can add an Echo Dot (5th Generation) to your basket for just £34.99. That’s a saving of 36%.

The discount also extends to bundles with Smart Plugs and TP-Link Wi-Fi-connected lightbulbs too!

If you stream your favourite songs, radio stations, podcasts or audiobooks via an Echo Dot, the reworked speaker system is worth the upgrade alone. These new components enable support for lossless high-definition music streaming for the first time – ideal for those who subscribe to Apple Music or Amazon Music, since these streamers offer HD music formats as standard.

Of course, the full-size Amazon Echo offers even better audio quality, thanks to its much larger footprint enabling space for a dedicated 76mm woofer and a pair of 20mm tweeters. Amazon Echo (4th Generation) offers Dolby audio support as well as lossless HD music streaming.

Amazon has slashed 27% off the cost of the full-sized Echo as part of the same sale, dropping the price to £79.99.

The Echo and Echo Dot aren’t the only Amazon-branded devices on sale.

The Seattle-based retailer has slashed prices across a wide range of its critically-lauded gadgets, including the impressive Fire TV Stick 4K Max. In our review, we noted that “what it lacks in a succinct product name, the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max more than makes up for with its gorgeous easy-to-navigate menu, speedy streaming over Wi-Fi 6, and a mammoth selection of streaming services and apps.”

At just £38.99, Amazon has dropped this top-tier streamer to the lowest price so far this year.

Amazon has also discounted a number of its Ring home security systems, including video doorbells, indoor security cameras, and more.
