Delnaaz Irani wraps up Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies: I hope there will be more offers coming
Delnaaz Irani was recently mired in controversies surrounding her professional life, but being a positive person, the actor says it’s all behind her. Looking forward, Irani has now wrapped up Zoya Akhtar’s Bollywood adaptation of the Archie Comics called The Archies.
On working with Akhtar, the 50-year-old tells us, “It is an honour. She is such a fine director and makes great films for any artiste. Working under her guidance and banner is such a joy.”
Asked if she is expecting more offers after wrapping up The Archies, Irani asserts, “As an artiste, we are always hopeful and one always wants to do better work and achieve more as far as roles are concerned.”
She agrees that this venture will be one of the major highlights in her resume. “Once people know that I am doing this film, there will be more offers coming. I am hopeful,” says the former Bigg Boss contestant.
The Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003) actor recently cleared the air on the controversy whether she was out of work saying that her words were misconstrued and she was never out of work. Speaking on that, Irani tells us that she is someone who believes in positivity.
“I feel the negativity has begin to surface only recently. You see people on social media talking s**t about others and pulling each other down. There was a lot of harmony before and everybody used to praise each other. I am someone who always remain very positive. I take it as part and parcel of life. I know the ups and downs as I have been part of the industry for 30 years,” the actor explains.
Irani further shares, “I know what failures are and what success is and nothing has gone to my head. People know the real Delnaaz is an extremely chilled-out person and extremely passionate about my craft. I don’t want to harm anybody and I don’t want others to harm me. You must take the criticism with a smile and with utmost dignity.”
