De Oliveria Named Mid-South Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Ruben Gonzalez de Oliveira has been named the Mid-South Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

• de Oliveira won four events and earned two NAIA provisional standards in a meet against Rose-Hulman, Bethel and Hanover.
• He won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.35 earning a provisional cut.
• de Oliveira won the 100 free earning a provisional cut with a time of 46.39.
• He was a member of the 200 medley relay team that finished first with a time of 1:34.55
• de Oliveira was also a member of the 400 free relay team which finished first with a time of 3:10.90.
• He earns weekly honors for the second time this season and sixth in his career.
