Cvent Attendee Hub to Replace CrowdCompass | Business Travel News

Cvent will sunset the CrowdCompass mobile event app at the
end of 2022 in favor of Attendee Hub, which the company introduced as Cvent
Engagement Hub in 2020 and which has evolved into an attendee
profile-powered community platform calibrated for in-person, hybrid and virtual
attendees. The meetings tech company acquired CrowdCompass
in 2012, and currently offers both. All Cvent clients are expected to migrate to Attendee Hub by year end.

“CrowdCompass has been with us every step of the way,”
said Cvent principal product manager Shiloh Frauen last week at Cvent’s
Connect conference in Las Vegas, “but now it’s time for us to take another leap
forward and meet the new opportunities in the industry.”

Attendee Hub offers attendees branded content and a recommendations
engine for a more personalized community experience. The profile engine puts
“the person in front and center,” said Frauen, adding that profile will
enable personal details and past engagements to follow attendees from event to
event and enrich the in-person experience. “With information fed into our recommendations
engine to serve up related discussions, sessions and even more personalized
content, they’ll be even more prepared to have impactful conversations once
they arrive on site,” she added.

According to Cvent CTO David Quattrone, Attendee Hub is the
evolution of CrowdCompass. “We’re not getting rid of CrowdCompass,” he
qualified. “People like Shiloh and Carl [Aldrich, project management
senior director] are part of the CrowdCompass team who built the Attendee Hub,
which is the next generation.”
