The new Flex Hinge with a dual rail structure diffuses external impacts better and enables the phone to have a no-gap design when folded. Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has been replaced with the newer generation Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Flex Mode has made a comeback on the device and leverages the bigger cover screen with more FlexCam options and a clearer Dual Preview.

For performance, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile platform for Galaxy Z Flip 5 is specially optimised for Samsung flagships and delivers uto 3.36Ghz peak clock speed. Samsung is claiming that the new model is more sustainable thanks to a wider variety of recycled materials than the previous generation.
