BTP Automation Integrates Hotel Health Verification Standards into RFP Platform

Hotel procurement platform Business Travel Performance Automation has adopted Forbes Travel Guide’s Sharecare health security verification standards to help travel buyers ensure their hotel partners are meeting health and hygiene protocols amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

To receive Sharecare verification, hotels must show compliance with more than 360 standards related to health and hygiene, cleaning procedures and air ventilation. Currently, more than 1,000 hotels and resorts, as well as 2,000 restaurants, have that verification.

BTP Automation has integrated that verification system into its automated request-for-proposals process and selection criteria, enabling its corporate clients to require that hotels meet those criteria in order to be accepted into their program.

“Companies are clearly seeking to provide a greater level of stewardship for their traveling populations and this is an important step in responding to an increased duty of care,” BTP Automation CEO Bruce Yoxsimer said in a statement. “Integrating health security screening into the RFP process—which is typically cost-driven, rather than duty of care-centric—adds an efficient, powerful tool for travel management and suppliers to care for customers and their employees.”
