Graphene Composites (GC), a leading innovator in advanced materials engineering announces first sales in Thailand of GC Halo® coated air filters which destroy airborne viruses, bacteria and mould on contact.

Leading sportswear and outerwear designer and manufacturer VT Garments whose clients include Patagonia, and Bangkok Prep, a renowned independent international school, both situated in Bangkok, Thailand have installed their first GC Halo coated air filters in their existing HVAC ventilation systems, with no retrofitting or disruption to ongoing activities.

GC Halo is a powerful nanoparticle ink formulation, that destroys pathogens by forming a ‘trap and kill’ layer on air filters and has been independently verified to significantly reduce SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the air. Fast-acting, safe and more than 99% effective against SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, Influenza, bacteria and mould, independent tests and certifications prove GC Halo’s capabilities as a filter coating.

Commenting on the purchase of the new air filters, Bangkok Prep’s Assistant Professor Dr. Torplus Yomnak says “Aligned to our core values, we are always looking at innovative ways to improve the health and wellbeing of our staff and students. The purchase of this innovative solution means that we are able to create healthier spaces and improve ventilation easily whilst also supporting welfare advancements.”

Chalumpon Lotharukpong, MD of VT Garments, says ‘As a certified Fair Trade manufacturer, we are very committed to looking after our employees – the installation of these filters continues this commitment. As the filters are manufactured to replace filters in existing systems, they were inexpensive, simple and easy to install.”

“Two and a half years in the making, it is very exciting to see our unique and groundbreaking technology accessible to schools and manufacturing settings.” says Sandy Chen, CEO at GC, “Working with our valued manufacturing partner Sun Filter, we look forward to making cleaner, safer indoor air commercially available for a wide range of customers.”

GC’s manufacturing partner, Sun Filter Co use the GC Halo technology as a coating on their branded NanoGuard filters which are now being marketed in SE Asia. GC are now exploring the potential to extend the GC Halo coating into other product areas for increasing health and wellbeing for communities globally.
