Bajaj Chetak electric scooter gets more range
The new homologation document of the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter states that EV will get an improved range of 108km per charge which is an 18km boost from the previously claimed range. The Bajaj Chetak gets the lowest claimed range when compared to its competitors. The Bajaj Chetak competes with the likes of the Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro and TVS iQube which report a claimed range of 146km, 181km, and 100km respectively.
The 20 percent increment in the claimed range figure brings the Bajaj Chetak up to speed with its rivals. The document does not report any battery upgrades or power output, which indicates that Bajaj could’ve achieved it by reworking the Battery Management Software (BMS) on the EV.
