Bailamos! Ricky Martin, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias join forces for Trilogy arena tour
Are you ready to live la vida loca, bailando and pump that gasolina? Latin music and pop superstars Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull are joining forces for an arena tour that’s sure to heat up the coldest of fall and winters.
The Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning solo artists will bring the heat to 19 cities throughout North America on their just-announced Trilogy Tour, which will features full headlining sets from all three singers when it kicks off in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 14.
“Fans can expect an unforgettable night of music as the megastars deliver an electrifying mix of their biggest career-spanning hits with influences of reggaeton, salsa pop, dance, and electronic music, backed by world-class production and state-of-the-art visuals,” concert promoter Live Nation announced Wednesday.
The crossover trio will make their way to California in late November to perform at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Nov. 30 and the SAP Center in San Jose on Dec. 6. The tour is set to wrap at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, on Dec. 10. But, according to Pitbull, it sounds as if it might continue beyond the United States and Canada after that.
“It’s a true honor to tour with Enrique and Ricky, 2 music icons, who broke global music barriers for our culture and open doors for someone like myself,” said the “Timber” and “Gasolina” rapper, whose real name is Armando Christian Pérez. “We’re excited to take The Trilogy tour around the world and give our fans the time of their Trilogy lives, Dale!”
Iglesias, the son of Spanish superstar Julio Iglesias and whose oeuvre includes the hits “Bailamos,” “Contigo” and “Be With You,” said that he’s “incredibly excited” to be touring with his friends again and promised an “amazing experience for ALL” of their fans. “It’s going to be a once in a lifetime tour,” he said.
In 2017, he and Pitbull embarked on a co-headlining tour that grossed more than $38 million. Then in 2021, Iglesias teamed with Martin, two icons of the late 1990s Latin music explosion, for a tour that grossed $35.2 million, according to Billboard.
“Going back on the road with not only Enrique, but now with Pitbull it’s very exciting,” added Martin, whose hits include “The Cup of Life,” “Livin’ La Vida Loca” and “Nobody Wants to Be Lonely,” and who last year was embroiled in a harassment scandal with his nephew.
“This tour will be a wild party from beginning to end so get ready, it’s going to be epic!” the Menudo alum added.
Tickets for the tour will first go on sale through Ticketmaster’s controversial Verified Fan Presale program and registration for that begins Sunday. If tickets remain, a general onsale will begin June 9 on Ticketmaster.com.
