Asus ROG Strix 16/17/18. Zephyrus M16: pre-orders, availability and offers

The Asus ROG Strix 16, 17 and 18 laptops, as well as the Zephyrus M16, will see their official India prices being revealed on March 28th. However, Asus has announced that all the four laptops in their various configurations will be available at Asus authorised offline outlets, on Amazon, Flipkart and Asus’ own outlet.

The laptops will come with a preorder offer — those registering to preorder the Asus ROG laptops between today and March 28th will get accessories and support plans worth over Rs 50,000. These include the ROG Gladius II mouse, Strix Go Core gaming headphones, Scope keyboard, and extended 1+2 years of warranty and three years of accidental damage protection as well. All of these benefits are available for the ROG Strix Scar series, while those who preorder the Zephyrus M16 will not get the ROG Scope keyboard as part of preorder goodies.

Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18

The Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18 can be configured with up to Intel Core i9-13980HX processors, and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 GPUs. The Scar 16 features a QHD screen with 240Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time and 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, and is offered in HDR and non-HDR formats. The Scar 18, meanwhile, offers users the choice of an 18-inch QHD display with the same credentials as the smaller 16-inch variant, and also a full HD variant with 165Hz refresh rate and 100 percent sRGB colour gamut coverage.

Both the laptops feature up to 64GB DDR5 memory, and 4TB PCIe Gen4 SSDs for storage. They also get 90Whr batteries. In terms of ports, both get the same choices — two USB-C 3.2 Gen2, with one offering Thunderbolt 4 support and the other offering Power Delivery 3.0 charging support. There are also two USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, one Ethernet port, one HDMI 2.1, and one 3.5mm audio port. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 weighs 2.5kg, while the Scar 18 weighs 3.1kg.

Asus ROG Strix Scar 17

The Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 is powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX processor, marking the biggest difference from the other two laptops. It also gets a 17-inch display in the same QHD configuration as the above laptops, and weighs 3kg. All other specifications remain the same as above, barring support for only 2TB SSD in storage.

Asus ROG Zephyrus M16

The ROG Zephyrus M16 offers a new design, and the same GPU, RAM, storage and input port choices as the 2023 Scar 17. However, it is powered by up to Intel Core i9-13900H processors, and offers an additional microSD and Kensington Lock ports on the laptop. The battery capacity remains the same as above.
