April Fool’s Day: Akshay Kumar shares video of ‘prank inspo’ for fans. Watch

Akshay Kumar, who is known as a prankster on set, celebrated April Fool’s Day by sharing his ‘prank inspo’ with fans. The actor took to Instagram Reels to share a hilarious video of his latest prank. The person Akshay pranked was his clothing brand FORCE IX’s co-founder Manish Mandhana. Towards the end of the video, Akshay also shared a clip of his Bhagam Bhag character. In the video, Akshay stood inside a studio with the team members of his clothing brand, who were all in on his prank on Manish. The actor lifted Manish up with his arms. Akshay then asked Manish to lift him in the same manner, asking him to take all the weight on his arms. When Manished failed to do so, and said it was difficult, Akshay once again lifted him in his arms with ease. Of course, Akshay had help from a team member, when lifting Manish, who seemed impressed with Akshay’s ‘impossible’ strength. People on the set were hiding and laughing as they saw Manish’s puzzled expressions.

Sharing the video, Akshay wrote in his caption, “Here’s some prank inspo for you all to try today. Tell me how it went. April Fool’s Day.” A comment on his video read, “The best part is Akshay paaji (brother) using his own meme.” At the end of the video, Akshay used a clip of himself from the 2006 film Bhagam Bhag. Actor Kriti Sanon’s sister Nupur Sanon also commented on Akshay’s video. She wrote, “Love it.” Many fans dropped laughing emojis in the comments section.

Akshay was last seen in the Karan Johar-backed film Selfiee (2023) alongside Emraan Hashmi, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty. Directed by Raj Mehta, Selfiee was released in theatres on February 24. Last year, Akshay was seen in several films such as Raksha Bandhan and Samrat Prithviraj, which did not work at the box office. After his last film Selfiee, too, opened with dismal figures, the actor spoke about his consecutive flops.

When told that he had given three-four flops in a row, Akshay had told Aaj Tak in February, “This is not happening with me for the first time. In my career, I have had 16 consecutive flops at a time. There was a time when I had eight films in a row that did not work. Now, I have had three-four films in a row that did not work. The thing is that it happens due to your own fault, film ka na chalna (a film not working). The audience have changed, you need to change, you need to dismantle yourself. You have to start again because the audience require to see something else.”

Akshay is now working on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in a crucial role.
