At the event the company explained that the low power mode will conserve the battery by turning off some of the features like always-on display, workout autostart, heart health notifications and more. However, the smartwatch will continue tracking the activities and will also keep fall detection switched on.
Apple has also confirmed that this new low power mode feature will not be limited to Apple Watch 8 series. The company said that the low power mode feature will be coming to Apple Watch Series 4 and later with the roll out of WatchOS 9. The tech giant also claimed that this new low power mode will increase the battery life from 36 hours to 60 hours of the newly launched Apple Watch Series 8 and the Apple Watch Ultra. “To keep users connected for even longer, a new Low Power Mode can extend battery life to reach up to 36 hours for Apple Watch Series 8 with iPhone present,” said the company.
The price of Apple Watch Series 8 starts at Rs 45,900 and it will go on sale starting September 23.
