Apple recently announced the dates of its first big event of 2023 — WWDC. The WorldWide Developer Conference 2023 will be held between June 5 to June 9. The company is expected to showcase the new features of upcoming iOS 17, iPadOS 17 and new watchOS 10 at the event. Now a new report has surfaced online revealing some details of the upcoming watchOS 10.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gruman, watchOS 10 will be the biggest software update for Apple Watch. Apple is expected to revamp the UI with the watchOS 10. In his newsletter, Gurman mentioned that WatchOS 10 will bring some ‘major’ and ‘biggest’ enhancements to the wearable. Along with this, the company is also expected to make updates in the UI.
Gurman also mentioned that the company will make only minimal changes to the hardware of the next generation Apple Watch models. This means that the WatchOS 10 will be a major update for the wearable this year. It is also expected that Apple may roll out the first beta of watchOS 10 after the WWDC keynote. Also, the first public beta for watchOS 10 is said to be rolled out in July.
Apple WWDC to take place on June 5: What to expect
As mentioned above the developer conference will begin on June 5 this year. Apple will use WWDC23 as a platform to showcase its latest advancements in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS, with new versions of its operating systems for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch, and Apple TV set to be unveiled. Although upcoming features will be demonstrated, the final versions are not expected to be released until later in the year.
Speculation has been growing for some time that Apple is developing a mixed reality device and operating system, and there are rumors circulating that WWDC 2023 may be the occasion when the company publicly discusses these projects for the first time. According to reports, the device will be a headset that combines augmented and virtual reality, and Apple is said to be creating a completely new operating system to accompany it. However, the company has not confirmed these rumors.
