Apple Vision Pro affordable version in development, claims analyst
Apple Vision Pro affordable version (rumoured)
Apple is working on a more affordable version of the Vision Pro headset, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. This cheaper Vision Pro will reportedly be called just ‘Vision’ or ‘Vision One’, and it will be made for mass adoption unlike its pricier sibling. There will be some compromises though and these could be a less powerful chip, lower quality screens and lesser cameras as well. The Vision Pro has a total of 12 cameras on the headset.
Apple might also remove the spatial audio feature on this affordable version, and rely on AirPods for that. But some features will remain such as the EyeSight feature, and the hand gestures as well. The launch will, however, take time as this affordable Vision Pro is slated for 2025 which is still two years from now.
According to Gurman, Apple also has a second generation Vision Pro in the works but there’s no word on when this one will debut.
The report further adds that the price tag of Vision Pro was already apprehended by Apple as it wasn’t planning to reveal it at the launch fearing negative publicity. But it still went ahead and revealed the price tag of the Vision Pro, and give people nine months to get used to it. The Vision Pro will be available to purchase early next year and starting with the US market followed by other countries.
