Apple reveals its M2 Pro and M2 Max chips that offer 20% faster CPU and 30% faster GPU | Digit
Apple has revealed that it is launching two new chips known as the M2 Pro and M2 Max. The former offers up to a 12-core CPU and up to a 19-core GPU. On the other hand, the latter offers up to a 38-core GPU and adds more to the existing capabilities of the M2 Pro. The two chips are the official successors of the M1 Max and M1 Pro.
The two chips are based on the 5nm process, however, they also have an SoC architecture that comes with unified memory, better power efficiency, higher performance per watt, and even better capacity and increased memory bandwidth.
