The report adds that the company may replace the Pro Max branding with new Ultra branding.
According to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is expected to change the name of its most-expensive Pro Max variant. Gurman suggests that Apple is planning to replace the Pro Max version of the iPhone 15 with iPhone 15 Ultra. Apple introduced the Pro Max branding for the first time in 2019 with the launch of the iPhone 11 series of smartphones.
This new change does not come as a surprise as the company already offers a smartwatch with the Ultra branding. Apple introduced its first rugged smartwatch called Apple Watch Ultra with the new iPhone 14 series.
Along with the name change, Apple is also expected to bring its most-loved Dynamic Island feature to the iPhone 15 series smartphones. The Apple iPhone 14 Pro models introduced the Dynamic Island feature that blends the pill-shaped cutout placed at the top of the display with the rest of the UI. The display cutout houses the TrueDepth camera system and other hardware like the proximity sensor, etc.
Apple has used advanced display algorithms and animations to make the cutout look like a part of the display that comes alive and can even interact with users.
