Apple iPhone 15 Ultra: Everything we know about it so far – Smartprix

Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has had a successful 2022 with its flagship iPhone 14 Series getting a good response worldwide. The brand hopes to repeat the same success story in 2023 as well; thus, it has voraciously started working to make the iPhone 15 series even better and more prominent. Some recent reports talk more about the iPhone 15 Ultra model that is supposed to be a part of the iPhone 15 Series in 2023. Apple will rename the Pro Max model to Ultra and is also trying to make the iPhone 15 Ultra very different from its predecessor that came out this year.

Apple iPhone 15 Ultra: Leaks & Rumours

A report by Bloomberg’s Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the success of the Apple Watch Ultra is the reason behind Apple’s decision to change its name. iPhone 15 Ultra is expected to be the first Apple phone to get a USB-C port for charging with a lightning connector. Kuo claims that the Ultra model will get USB-C 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3 transfer speeds. This will enhance data transfer speeds. iPhone 15 Ultra is also said to get a brand-new Titanium design. ShrimpApplePro claims that it will have a rounded back panel and might look like iPhone 5C without the plastic. There might be solid-state buttons.

Bloomberg claims that Apple might not be able to use its own modems for iPhone in 2023. So it would have to rely on Qualcomm’s 5G modems at least for one more year. Apple analyst Kuo mentions that the iPhone 15 Ultra will improve cameras drastically. Apple recently used a 7P lens for iPhone 14 Pro, so a change this soon is unlikely. But iPhone 15 Ultra is still expected to bring big camera upgrades, details of which are still under wraps. RAM is also expected to get a boost.

We will know more iPhone 15 Ultra as and when it gets confirmed.
