Apple iPhone 14 series may have passed the development stage – Times of India
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 14 series later this year. Although the tech giant has not revealed any details about its upcoming flagship smartphone series, numerous reports have suggested what users can expect. According to a report by 9to5Mac, analyst Jeff Pu of Haitong International Securities has revealed in a note that iPhone 14 is now at engineering validation tests (EVT) stage. He also believed that the previous Shenzhen lockdown had no impact on the smartphones.
For those who do not know, engineering validation tests are performed on first prototypes. The main purpose of such tests is to ensure that the design and specifications of the prototype device works fine. It makes sure that the design works fine with the features and it meets the user needs. The Apple iPhone 14 going for EVT indicates that the tech giant has finalised on the design of its 2022 flagship.
Apple iPhone 14 series is rumoured to consist of four smartphones just like last two years. The rumoured smartphones in the series include – Apple iPhone 14, Apple iPhone 14 Max, Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max. According to the additional tidbits shared by the analyst, the Pro models in the iPhone 14 series will feature a new A16 chip that will have a larger die size when compared to its predecessor A15.
Jeff Pu has also shared some details on the Apple iPhone 15 series. Pu believes that it is highly likely that Apple will add a periscope camera in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max with 5x optical zoom. Similar predictions for Apple iPhone 15 series were also shared by known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo a few weeks ago. The Apple iPhone 14 series is said to feature a bigger camera bump because of a better camera.
