Apple: Apple revamps website design with new drop-down navigation menus – Times of India
The site’s layout has been reorganised and streamlined in order to make it easier for users to find what they are looking for. Additionally, the website now features a more modern look and feel that is designed to be responsive across different categories.
What’s new?
All the categories have been updated with the latest upgrade that offers quick links to more details on the category lineup. The new design will make it easier for users to find the information they need and navigate the website easily. Now, when a user hovers the mouse over items present in Apple’s top menu bar, they will see new dropdown menus with quick links to more details on that category of products.
How did the website work earlier?
Earlier, on Apple’s website, the navigation bar was static and did not have the dropdown menu feature. This meant, users needed to click on the respective item in the menu bar to know more details and after that, they would be redirected to the dedicated product’s webpage.
For instance, when you mouse over the “iPhone” item in the nav bar, a dropdown menu will automatically appear that offers quick links.
These notable changes were pointed out by Michael Steeber on Mastodon. The dropdown menus appear for all of the items in Apple’s top navigation bar:
Moreover, Apple has also made some changes to the mobile version of its website. The navigation menu has been relocated to the upper-right side of the screen on mobile. Now, there are new animations that appear after selecting different products. This change was first spotted by Jared Cardona on Twitter.
