Apple announces Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro for iPad: All the details – Times of India
The iPad versions of Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro now have touch interfaces that make it easier for users to work with them. With Final Cut Pro for iPad, video creators can record, edit, finish, and share their projects, all on the go. Meanwhile Logic Pro for iPad, enables music creators to create professional-grade music using their iPad.
Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for iPad will be released on the App Store on May 23. Each app will be available on the App Store for Rs 499 ($4.99) per month or Rs 4,999 ($49) per year with a one-month free trial.
Final Cut Pro is compatible with M1 chip iPad models or later, and Logic Pro will be available on A12 Bionic-powered iPad models or newer. Both apps require iPadOS 16.4 or newer.

Final Cut Pro for iPad: Digital jog wheel, Live drawing on M2 iPad Pro models, and more
In Final Cut Pro, users can navigate through the Magnetic Timeline using the digital jog wheel, move clips, and make precise frame-by-frame edits. Users can speed up their workflow with the help of key commands on the Magic Keyboard or Smart Folio Keyboard.
Final Cut Pro on iPad supports Reference Mode on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, ensuring accurate colour editing.
Besides, on M2-powered iPad Pro, users can make use of live drawing to directly draw and write on top of video content using the Apple Pencil, which also supports hover capabilities for quick footage previews.
Final Cut Pro for iPad uses Apple silicon and machine learning to speed up editing tasks. It has features like Scene Removal Mask for quickly removing or replacing backgrounds without a green screen, Auto Crop for adjusting aspect ratios, and Voice Isolation for removing background noise from audio.
The Pro camera mode in Final Cut Pro on iPad allows for easy video creation with control over focus, exposure, and white balance. Users can also edit and publish videos from their devices and use the multicam editing feature to switch angles. The iPad Pro with M2 can even record videos in ProRes.
Video creators can access professional graphics, effects, and audio to enhance their storytelling. They can customise animated patterns and use soundtracks that adjust to their video length. Users can import supported media from Files or Photos and save it directly in a project. It supports importing iMovie projects for iOS, and projects can also be exported to Mac.
Logic Pro for iPad: Multi-touch, dynamic filtering, and more
Logic Pro for iPad combines the power of Logic Pro with the portability of iPad, offering multi-touch gestures, plug-in tiles, and a full-featured mixer allowing creators to play software instruments, navigate complex projects, and shape sounds easily. With over 100 instruments and effects plug-ins, including vintage EQs and compressors, creators can fine-tune tracks and mix intuitively.
The all-new sound browser uses dynamic filtering to help music creators discover the perfect sound, and a variety of play surfaces let them play instruments with Multi-Touch.
Logic Pro for iPad supports roundtrip capabilities, allowing projects to be easily moved between iPad and Mac. It also supports opening projects created in GarageBand for iOS, exporting finished songs in various audio formats, and exporting soundtracks to Final Cut Pro for iPad.
