Apple AirPods Pro 2nd-gen starts receiving its first firmware update – Times of India

After a long wait, Apple unveiled the 2nd-generation Apple AirPods Pro last month. The latest TWS earbuds from the company went on sale last week and now it has started receiving its first firmware update.
The firmware update is now available for AirPods Pro 2nd-generation models. According to the official Apple support page, the update carries version number 5A377 and it only brings Bug fixes and other improvements.
The company hasn’t specified in detail the bugs that the update is supposed to fix or the ‘other improvements’ that the update includes.
Firmware updates on AirPods automatically get installed via over-the-air update when it is connected to an iOS device and power source. Also, the AirPods need to be in the case for the update. There’s no manual way of doing that So you’ll have to wait till the update is available for your AirPods.
Meanwhile, you can head to Settings → General → About → AirPods and check if it is running the latest firmware version.

The new AirPods Pro 2nd-generation comes with improved Spatial Audio along with the ability to create a customised personal profile using iPhones running iOS 16 operating system.
The new AirPods Pro comes with advanced computational audio that claims to offer double noise cancellation. The AirPods Pro also comes with a new feature called Adaptive Transparency.
The AirPods Pro also comes with new touch controls that allow users to swipe up and down to adjust call quality.
