Just a few weeks after releasing the June Feature Drop with many new features, Google is now rolling out the July security update for Pixel phones. While it includes the usual bug fixes, there are no major new additions. So, you will have to wait until Android 14 is released later this year for new features.
Google has released two patch levels for Android 13. The first, dated July 1, addresses 12 high-severity framework vulnerabilities, 11 system CVEs (with one marked as critical), and a Wi-Fi patch that will be delivered through Google Play. The second, dated July 5, contains fixes for 20 CVEs, with only one marked as critical (CVE-2023-21629).
The latest update is now available for Google Pixel 4 and newer models, and some Samsung devices have already received it.
To check for the update on Pixel phones, go to Settings, then System, and select System update. Simply tap “Check for update,” and it will be installed. The update should show on your phones soon as it is being rolled out in a staged manner.

Google has also released a July update for its new tablet with the latest Android 13 July 2023 security patch. The update resolves 26 security issues and is only 23.27MB.
According to Google’s changelog, the July 2023 update for Pixel Tablet addresses issues related to battery and charging, as well as general improvements for charging, battery usage, and thermal performance under certain conditions. Additionally, the update fixes an issue that occasionally caused lock screen notification text to display behind unlock UI elements.
Pixel Watch has also received the July security patch, similar to how it was done for phones and tablets before. Once your watch receives the update, it will have a security patch level of July 5, 2023. The build with the code RWDC.230705.001 was launched on Wednesday evening, but there was a delay in its rollout.
