American to Add 14 New Routes from Austin in the Fall

American Airlines will continue to build service out of Austin, Texas, this fall with 10 new domestic routes and four new international routes, the carrier announced.

On Sept. 8, American will begin twice-daily service from Austin to Cincinnati as well as daily service to El Paso, Indianapolis, Kansas City, St. Louis, Jacksonville and Reno. The service to Indianapolis, Kansas City and St. Louis will increase to twice daily in the subsequent weeks, and El Paso service will increase to three times daily. American also is adding daily service between Austin and both Oklahoma City and San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Oct. 7 and daily service to Tulsa on Nov. 2.

In its international network, American on Oct. 7 will add service four times per week from Austin to Cancun, Mexico. On Nov. 2, it will add service four times a week from Austin to both Liberia, Costa Rica, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, as well as three flights a week from Austin to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Additionally, American this fall will make its seasonal service between Austin and both Los Cabos, Mexico, and Nassau, Bahamas, year-round.

American Airlines chief commercial officer Alison Taylor in a statement said that Austin “is an increasingly important market for both our leisure and corporate customers.” The carrier in March announced several new routes from Austin for the summer, including several intended to capture business travel demand out of the city.
