The countdown has started for Amazon Great Republic Sale. The sale starts at 12 am on January 16 from Prime members. Open sale starts January 17. Just hours before the sale, Amazon is allowing users to pre-book gadgets and other items at Re 1. The aim is to ensure that you get the device that you want at a certain price. For those unaware, pricing during these online sales is dynamic and may change based on demand supply. Here are the house rules of the pre-booking offer:
What is pre-booking?
Customers can choose to reserve products in advance by pre-booking available products. This will guarantee early availability of the product during ‘redemption window’ before the start of the Amazon Great Republic Day Sale. The redemption window differs as per the product. You can check the same while pre-booking.
How can I buy a product using pre-booking?
The pre-booking steps are as follows:
a) An initial pre-booking payment is required for placing the order during the pre-book Period. This mode of payment is prepaid via Amazon Pay balance.
b) Before start of the redemption window (final payment window to buy your pre-booked product), already paid pre-booking amount will be released back to your Amazon Pay balance.
c) When the pre-booking redemption window is open, you can purchase your pre-booked product by paying the price mentioned on the product detail page. The payment for your pre-booking can be completed by going to the detail page of the product directly or through the link provided on the reminder notifications. Redemption Payment can be made through COD or any prepaid payment method (Credit Card/Debit Card/Payment Wallets/Net banking/E-Gift Vouchers).
d) Check the product page for the offer eligibility before pre-booking the product.
Is bank offer applicable during the redemption of the pre-booking?
The bank offer will be applicable on pre-booked items as per the terms and conditions of such offers.
Can I place more than one pre-bookings together?
Yes, multiple pre-book items can be bought together. The pre-booking amount and the redemption window may differ as per the product.
Can I cancel a pre-booking?
Yes, upon going to the product detail page in the Amazon.in app, click on the ‘manage pre-bookings’ link and then, ‘Cancel pre-booking’. Click on “Yes, Cancel pre-booking” to cancel. On cancelling the booked item, your pre-booking amount will be refunded to your source account from where you made the payment.
What happens if I don’t purchase the pre-booking during the redemption window?
If you don’t purchase during the redemption window, then the pre-booking will stand automatically cancelled.
Can I avail cash on delivery for these orders?
The first payment of Rs 1 or a token nominal amount for pre-booking a product needs to be prepaid (through Amazon Pay balance). However, the remaining balance during redemption window can be either paid using cash on delivery or by using any other payment options available on Amazon.in.
