Bharti Airtel, one of the three leading telecom providers in India, has re-launched the INR 199 prepaid 4G plan for its subscribers in the country. It had removed the INR 199 plan earlier only to be re-introduced today but with new benefits onboard. Here’s more.

Airtel INR 199 prepaid 4G Plan & Benefits

The previous INR 199 plan offers 1GB of daily data along with 24 days of validity. It was later changed to 1.5GB of daily data. However, the plan has been overhauled to allow 3GB of total data with a validity of 30 days. Yes, you heard it right. The plan won’t give you a GB a day i.e. 30GB (for the new 30 days validity) but instead, you get 3GB of data to use with a 30 days validity.

Post using the available 3GB of data, you can still continue using the same plan paying 50 paise per GB until you get an add-on 4G plan or recharge with a different plan.

Apart from that, you get unlimited voice calls onboard and 300 SMS although you cannot send more than 100 SMS a day. Post utilization of SMS benefits, you will be charged INR 1 and INR 1.5 for local and STD SMS respectively. Some other additional resources you get with the plan are subscriptions to Wynk Music and a few Hello Tunes. Note that neither calls, SMS, nor the data can be rolled over in case you had some left when the validity ended.

How To Buy

There’s no rocket science here. All you have to do is go to Airtel’s website or its app, enter the number you want to recharge for, and enter the value at INR 199. You should also be able to check out the plan in the catalog itself that helps you decide which recharge you want to go for.

If your internet use is limited but you need a plan which is cheaper and has a longer validity, you can go for this one. There’s an even cheaper plan at INR 99 that gives you 28 days of validity should you look for an alternative.
