Airtel announces two new Standby broadband plans with unlimited data, price starts at Rs 199 – Times of India

Countering JioFiber’s Backup broadband plans, Bharti Airtel has announced its Xstream Standby plans for its broadband customers. TelecomTalk has reported that the telecom service provider has launched two new affordable broadband plans priced at Rs 199 and Rs 399. The new plans come with additional benefits including free live TV, OTT benefits and more. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Standby plans from Airtel.
Airtel Rs 199 Xstream Standby plan: Benefits
The Rs 199 Standby plan is now the most affordable broadband plan from Airtel. Earlier, it was a Rs 499 plan. The Rs 199 plan comes unlimited at 10Mbps speed. The plan also includes free calling, free Wi-Fi router.
The key thing to note about the plan is that it is available only with 5-month duration and costs Rs 1,674 along with Rs 500 one-time installation charges.
Airtel Rs 399 Xstream Standby plan: Benefits
The Rs 399 plan is almost similar to Rs 199 in terms of broadband benefits. The plan also offers unlimited data at 10Mbps speed and comes bundled with a free Wi-Fi router. However, it also includes additional benefits such as Xstream box and over 350 TV channels. This plan is also available for 5-months and costs Rs 3,000 including Rs 500 one-time installation charge and taxes.
Do note that, Airtel Xstream users with Standby plans will also get the option to upgrade the speeds with other available Xstream plans.
For those unaware, earlier the cheapest broadband plan Airtel used to offer was priced at Rs 499. The plan still exists and offers unlimited calling and data at 40Mbps. Apart from that, the plan also comes with free access to Airtel apps and services.
